Expertise

Information System Design Process & Methodology

Achievement

Gained first class award for BSc Chemical Engineering and Mechanics, China (2001)

Distinction awarded for MSc Computation, UMIST, UK (2002)

Overseas Research Scholarships (ORS) awarded by Universities UK (2003-2006)

Consultation Institute, Certificate of Professional Development (The certificate recognises an individual’s commitment to enhancing skills and knowledge in Consultation services and techniques)(2008)

Projects

Sustainable Urban Regeneration, SURegen (UK Government EPSRC funded, £2.5 Million, 2008-2012):

In this project, Yun is responsible for designing the Regeneration Workbench (i.e. the final deliverable of SURegen Project) using ‘Modelling & Matching’ development methodology, which was developed in her PhD for requirements elicitation from multiple stakeholders and to support cooperative work among multi-disciplinary partners in the system design process.

Virtual Environmental Planning System, VEPs (E109, INTEREG 3b, €4.7 million 2004-2008):

In VEPs, Yun’s ‘Modelling and Matching’ methodology for ePlanning system design was adopted for coordination of extension work on the Stuttgart 3D city model. This methodology enabled all partners to work collaboratively across Europe in the production of system software from Unified Modelling Language (UML) models, which is one of the outcomes of ‘Modelling & Matching’ methodology.

IntelCities (FP7 IP, €6.8 million, 2004-5):

In this project, Yun’s main duty was interface design and development methodology for the Building Data Integration System.
